SILVER SPRING, MD – The , the premier organization representing the interests of the nation’s more than 4.2 million nurses, and the , the philanthropic arm of ANA, announced Stryker, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, as the new partner for the ANA Innovation Awards. Applications for the are now open.

Stryker offers innovative products and services in Orthopedics, Medical and Surgical, and Neurotechnology and Spine that help improve patient and hospital outcomes. Their portfolio also offers various engagement and training opportunities to enrich the experiences of nurses to help improve patient care and safety. Stryker’s mission, ‘We are driven to make healthcare better,’ aligns with the principles of ANA and the Foundation to promote nursing excellence, and to advance and support the profession by empowering nurses to transform healthcare and to improve the lives of their patients.

Launched in 2019, the ANA Innovation Awards highlight, recognize, and celebrate exemplary nurse-led innovation that improves patient safety and health outcomes. Two awards are conferred each year – the Individual Nurse Award and the Nurse-led Team Award – and recipients will receive monetary prizes of $25,000 and $50,000, respectively. Stryker’s support will further both organizations’ goals of nurturing and activating nurse-led innovation through the presentation of the awards annually through 2024.
