Victoria lived with back pain for years – impeding her ability to walk, stand, and lead a normal life as a teenager. “It made my whole life uncomfortable,” Victoria says. “I would stand for 30 minutes and it [the pain] would just get worse.” When the back pain became too much for Victoria to handle, she was referred to Dr. Stephen George, who diagnosed her with idiopathic scoliosis and recommended surgical intervention. 

Dr. George corrected Victoria’s scoliosis using the Everest Spinal System. When she saw her x-rays after the surgery, Victoria couldn’t believe that the x-rays were of her spine. She was able to return to school after three weeks and start physical activity after six months, just in time for her high school graduation festivities. Now, Victoria is a college student studying to be a counseling psychologist. “Everything leading up to it, doing the surgery, it was worth it,” Victoria says. “It changed the way I lived.”
